Definitions
- the present invention relates to retractable telescopic closures formed mainly of a series of modular elements including a fixed modular element and several mobile modular elements successively interlocking in a telescopic manner and movable on two raceways on which they take support by rollers between a retracted opening position and a deployed closed position.
- the difficulty lies in driving the modular elements with respect to one another, between the closed position and the open position, in particular when these elements are relatively wide, that is to say when the raceways are separated from one another by a distance which may be greater than the length of each modular element. Indeed, the risks of jamming are then very great between two successive modular elements. We may be tempted to limit these risks of jamming by providing guide rails for the modular elements, as in documents CH-A-532 697, FR-A-2 568 288, FR-A-2 413 507, FR-A -2 526 469, US-A-4 288 949 and FR-A-2 576 955 Ma s these rails then constitute discomfort when the elements are in the retracted opening position.
- the means for driving the modular elements must preferably be integrated into the modular elements themselves, without constituting any discomfort both inside and outside the structure.
- a retractable closure comprises a series of modular elements including a fixed modular element and several mobile modular elements successively interlocking telescopically and displaceable, on two fixed raceways on which they are supported by rollers, between a retracted opening position and a deployed closed position, with lateral guide elements interposed between the adjacent modular elements;
- the retractable closure comprises a mechanism for driving the modular elements along the raceways between the retracted and deployed positions, in which:
- a first strand of opening cable and a second strand of respective opening cable integral with a first end of the extreme mobile modular element, each pass through first pairs of pulleys of respective return arranged in each modular element so that a pull of the opening cable strands produces the relative approximation of the modular elements from each other, and are selectively stressed in traction at the other end by the same first traction mechanism disposed beyond the fixed modular element,
- a first strand of closing cable and a second strand of respective closing cable integral with a first end of the extreme mobile modular element, each pass in second pairs of return pulleys respective arranged in each modular element so that a traction of the strands of closure cable produces the relative spacing of the modular elements from each other, and are selectively stressed in traction at the other end by the same second traction mechanism arranged beyond the f xed modular element,
- the first and second traction mechanisms are synchronized to selectively produce the traction of the opening cable strands and the simultaneous release of the closure cable strands, and to selectively produce the traction of the closure cable strands and the simultaneous release of the opening cable strands
- each second pair of return pulleys is formed by two pulleys disposed respectively in the vicinity of the two ends of one corresponding modular element.
- the pairs of pulleys are advantageously housed in tubular beams attached to the base of the modular elements, the beams also comprising the rollers and the lateral guide elements.
- the first and second traction mechanisms comprise a rotary drum with two coaxial sections of the same diameter, with a first section on which the two strands of opening cable are wound, and with a second section on which are wound the two strands of closing cable; elastic tensioning means are interposed in series with each cable strand, to ensure elastic tension of said cable strand while allowing a take-up of relative length between the closing cable strands and the opening cable strands SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
- Figure 3 is a side view of the structure of Figure 2 in the closed position
- FIG. 10 is a top view illustrating the whole of the drive mechanism of the modular elements, during the step of opening the structure;
- Lateral guide elements are interposed between the adjacent modular elements, as will be described later in relation to FIG. 11.
- the pairs of pulleys are housed in tubular beams attached to the base of the modular elements, as illustrated in cross section in FIG. 11.
- the end pulley 40 of the mobile modular element 3 respective pulleys 43 and 44 of the modular elements 6 and 7.
- the rollers of each modular element in particular the roller 14 of the extreme modular element 9.
- the lateral guide elements which, in this embodiment, comprise a guide path such as path 45 of the fixed modular element 2.
- the path of guide is a longitudinal tubular profile provided with a lateral opening for the passage of the central core of a guide diabolo 46 journalling around a shaft 47 secured to the adjacent movable modular element 3.
- the set of pulleys, rollers bearing and lateral guide elements is housed in the side members forming the base of the modular elements.
- the first and second traction mechanisms of the cable strands comprise a rotary drum 48 with two respective sections 49 and 50 coaxial of the same diameter, a first section 49 on which the two strands of opening cable 18 and 21 are wound, a second section 50 on which the two strands of closing cable 24 and 30 are wound.
- Elastic tensioning means are interposed in series with each strand of cable 18, 21, 24 and 30, to ensure elastic tension of said cable strand while allowing a take-up of relative length between the closing cable strands 24 and 30 and the opening cable strands 18 and 21
- the mechanical transmission 63 comprises an output shaft 65 coupled to an input shaft 66 by a clutch 67 better represented in FIGS. 13 and 14 the output shaft 65 comprises , at its end, a square 68 for the adaptation of a crank such as the crank 69 of Figure 12.
- the output shaft 65 carries two opposite levers 70 and 71 generally longitudinal which can pivot around respective transverse axes 72 and 73.
- the first ends 74 and 75 of the levers are normally in close position, under the action of a spring 76 making the levers pivot, and the second ends 77 and 78 of the levers are then engaged in housings such as the housing 79 formed in the peripheral wall of a cylinder 80 integral with the input shaft 66.
