Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a new shoe (or stop) usable for producing an elastic fixing of a rail on a cross member and, more particularly, on a reinforced concrete cross member.
In sinuous railway tracks, the connection of the rails to the sleepers or other supports includes guides or lateral stops, the main drawback of which is the reciprocal wear of the rail and the stop. This wear is obviously not favorable to the preservation of a good geometry of the track and, in certain cases, it leads to a partial deterioration of the rail which makes the latter non-reusable.
The guides can have other drawbacks such as too great rigidity which makes them difficult to use with concrete sleepers and for elastic metal stops insufficient resistance to large forces which are developed during the passage of convoys in curves small radius.
For a few years now, synthetic resin stops have been used which provide electrical isolation of the rail from the metal blade which clamps it on its support. In their current arrangement, these stops prevent precise adjustment of the blade clamping force and therefore cannot be used in curves with a small radius. We then use the device described in patent n ° 2 481 334 with which the fastener bears directly on the shoe of the rail, and the electrical isolation is done by surrounding the fixing bolt with a barrel washer which is housed in a recess in the blade and in the stop. This recess weakens them and causes ruptures when the stresses are too severe.
There are also larger and more expensive insulating stops operating with different blades designed to distribute their pressure over a large area. They require special concrete sleepers for their use; they cannot be applied to existing ordinary sleepers.
The present invention relates to a rail fastener using the known elastic blade described in the patent. French No 2,481,334 and a shoe, said shoe comprising a

The extension 7 of the shoe above the shoe of the rail is used to achieve complete isolation of the blade from the rail.
The
- - La figure 1 est une vue de profil du dispositif posé, non serré, sur le patin du rail ;
- - La figure 2 est une vue de profil du même dispositif serré sur le patin du rail ;
- - Figure 1 is a side view of the device placed, not tight, on the rail pad;
- - Figure 2 is a side view of the same device clamped on the rail pad;
- - Figure 3 is a top view of the shoe used in the fastener according to the invention.
According to Figure 1, the fastener according to the invention includes a blade L and a shoe S. It is used to fix the rail R on the cross T, an elastic and insulating sole I being disposed between the rail R and the cross T .
The blade L made of spring steel has an orifice 1 for the passage of the clamping member 2 shown in FIG. 2, one
I.The shoe S made of polyamide, polyacetal resin, or other material of the same elasticity comprises: an
As can be seen in FIG. 2, the clamping of the blade L by the clamping member 2 brings it into contact with the
The force and the position of the blade being thus fixed, the rail, when a train passes, is subjected to stresses and vibrations. The movement of the edge of the shoe of the rail is limited upwards by the presence of the boss applied to the blade, itself held by the clamping member, it is limited laterally by the
To facilitate installation and avoid any error, the shoe S can be assembled to the blade L by a
The present invention applies to the fixing of the rails on the sleepers or any other support and more particularly on the concrete supports of the railway tracks, in curve of small radius.
