On utilise depuis quelques années des butées en résine synthétique qui assurent l'isolement électrique du rail par rapport à la lame métallique qui le serre sur son support. On se sert alors du dispositif décrit dans le brevet n° 2 481 334 avec lequel l'attache porte directement sur le patin du rail, et l'isolement électrique se fait en entourant le boulon de fixation d'une rondelle à canon qui se loge dans un évidement pratiqué dans la lame et dans la butée.
