Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a artículos poliméricos antimicrobianos que contienen partículas de sales de metales con un tamano de partícula de menos de aproximadamente 200nm dispersadas en todo el polímero, y métodos para su producción. Reivindicación 1: Un artículo formado a partir de al menos un polímero, donde el polímero comprende, distribuidas homogéneamente en su totalidad, partículas de sales de metales antimicrobianas que tienen un tamano de partícula de menos de aproximadamente 200 nm, donde dicho artículo exhibe una readucción de al menos aproximadamente 0,5 log de al menos una Pseudomonas aeruginosa y s aureus, y un valor de opacidad de menos de aproximadamente 100% a un espesor de aproximadamente 70 micrones en comparación con una lente de CSI.
