Marvelous Monday! Old PEZ Head Edition!
Get it? Iron Man is "Old Shell Head", but since he's on a PEZ I called him... Oh never mind. Back in December 2009 we were finishing up our Christmas shopping at a World Market, we like the candy selection for stocking stuffers. We had decided we would look for some little candies for our Nephew since the whole family was getting together for a Christmas Eve party and he might like to have some little things to play with and snack on.
I had spied a Spider-Man PEZ, a newer one than either of the ones I had and new he loved Spider-Man so that was my contribution to the haul, I had thought about picking up one for myself when I noticed one that had a familiar yellow and red look to it.
Freaking Iron Man! I'm getting old because I had no clue this was being made. I mean I'm not a full blown PEZ Head, but I do tend to check them out when I'm in stores and the geek community usually keeps me up on this sort of thing.
Now I used to have a pretty good size PEZ collection, but ended up selling off the ones I really didn't care for. I kept my first Star Wars, my Marvels and the DC Characters that I had found, a few other round out the smaller collection now. But Iron Man, oh he was coming home with me.
I had ate the candy, even though it's not the best and set Iron Man on top of the bookshelf to watch over my other toys and he must have gotten knocked over, because it wasn't until I was dusting that I found him on his side and realized he hadn't made a blog appearance. Even though this is a more modern mask, I'm really digging the classic yellow and red colors. I wonder if they will make a more gold and red to match the movie for Iron Man 2?
Hope you enjoyed this Marverlous Monday! I leave you with this question. What PEZ would you like to see be made? Anything, the sky's the limit!

Holy Bat PEZ!
What can you say about PEZ that hasn't been said before? I personally have reduced my PEZ habit to a few packs a day... I kid.
I used to have a ton of PEZ dispensers, you have to admit these things are a little addictive. I finally rounded up most of my PEZ and put them in a large shoe box and sold them in a garage sale, keeping only the ones I truly like. Talk about a liberating feeling, letting go of stuff, kind of weird to hear that from a collector, but every once in a while I feel the need to purge the collection, one day I'll be back down to one tote of stuff... Hahahah Hahahahaha, man that really does sound funny.
Anyway I only have a few Heroes, some Star Wars, and a foreign PEZ in my collection now, and am much happier now that I only have to set up a few when the shelf gets bumped and not an army . Still, to this day I check out all the cool PEZ that are hanging on the end caps.
Well here's the ones I kept that represent the Dark Knight, still a would love to find a Joker one, possibly the Batman with the plastic cap. Who knows a knew Batman movie is on the horizon, maybe we'll see a Joker PEZ again, I think I could afford the self space for the Joker, not sure I would eat any of the candy from a psychotic clown though.

PEZ Strikes Back!
The Stormtrooper of the week is from the Star Wars PEZ collection. He's your standard issue Imperial Stormtrooper with a twist, instead of having a blaster he's full of PEZ candy! These have been a round for a few years now, they would have been great having growing up. I do remember that Topps had a Stormtrooper Head full of candy. I would throw my paper route and stop mid way through at a little gas station that had sodas and candy and buy the latest sugary treats. I think they had Darth Vader, C3-P0, Chewbacca, and the Stormtrooper. Full of either sweet tart like candy or gum pellets. I used to think they were pretty cool and remember trying to get the whole set. If I'm not mistaken I think at about the time Empire Strikes Back hit theaters they even added a Boba Fett. Maybe I can find one of these to post (or at least a photo of one). I don't think I'll eat any candy from it though, probably wouldn't be a good idea.
If you like PEZ though, These little Imperial Troops will keep them organized and ready for any tasty mission.
