William Boddie
William Boddie (Democratic Party) was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 62. He assumed office on January 9, 2017. He left office on January 9, 2023.
Boddie (Democratic Party) ran for election for Georgia Commissioner of Labor. He lost in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
William Boddie was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and, as of May 2020, lived in East Point, Georgia. He graduated from Banneker High School in 1995. Boddie earned a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Valdosta State University in 1999 and a law degree from Mercer Walter F. George School of Law in 2003. His career experience includes working as the founder of The Boddie McKnight Law Firm, LLC, a council member and community liaison with the Fulton Leadership Academy, a faculty member with the Personal Development Academy of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and as a legal commentator and town hall speaker with V-103 and WAOK 1380 radio stations. Boddie has been a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the South Fulton and Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, the Douglas County Small Business Society, the City of Douglasville Housing Committee, and the Douglas County Democratic Party.[1]
