|I have been part of this community for many years, working to make it a better place. I am currently serving my 3rd term as the Third Ward Councilor for the Town of Salina. My passion has always been to educate and give control back to the people. I works for the people they do not work for me. The key to a solid working relationship between the constituents and elected officials is transparency. I always openly answer questions about the inner workings of government so that the people are fully aware of what is going on.

Public Safety & Quality of Life
My parents. They are the hardest working people who only care about doing what's best for our family and helping people in our community. They have instilled this philosophy and way of life in myself and three brothers.
Integrity and full transparency
I only care about what's in the best interest of the people and improving their quality of life. I will work endlessly to make sure they are taken care of and I am able to fulfill as much as possible of what they request of me as their representative.
To work for the people not for their own interests.
One that inspires people to be there for one another, stand up for the good of all humankind, and hold those accountable who think they are above the law.
The one that stands out the most is 9/11. I was 8yrs old.
I was a Busser at Joey's Italian Restaurant in Syracuse. I started in September of 2010 until I left for college in Fall of 2011 and then would come back and work there in the summers from 2011-2013.
Life is a continuous struggle. It's up to you to decide if you look at it as a negative or positive. I choose to take every moment, learn from it, and make it a positive to help in reaching the next goal.
One of open communication, transparency, open-mindedness and putting party aside so that the people are truly put first.
State spending causing an increase in the cost of living causing residents/businesses in the state to leave. This ends up causing the tax burden to be shared by less people increasing costs on everyone. This will cause a snowball effect of other issues to become worse than they already are including lack of funding for schools, mental health services, economic development, and other needed programs.
It is beneficial but not necessary. Anyone can take the time to learn how government and politics operates. If you go in not knowing anything then it will be a disadvantage on knowing how/when to get certain things done but if all you have ever done as your career is government or politics then you have a narrow minded approach on how to address issues. People need life and work experiences outside of government and politics to bring well-rounded solutions to the table.
Yes, on both sides of the aisle. Without cooperating and collaborating as a team then it will take much longer to get things accomplished, if at all.
I think there should be a tier system outlining the level of the emergency. Some powers should not be given to just one person but there are times when a decision needs to be made in a matter of minutes.

There is not enough of it. Constituents have to do too much research to find the answers they are looking for and those in positions of power are not held accountable for their actions enough.
I think every state should have this. It gives power back to the people and can help resolve issues of a one party majority.
