Well if they don't want me in the pack I'm not going to burden them. I drive home mostly on autopilot. I didn't notice I was home till I see dad's car parked in the driveway for once. I get out the car and open the front door.
"Stiles, Hey I thought you'd be with Scott all day?" Dad calls out from the kitchen. I walk towards him and sit down at the kitchen table. "What's wrong, son?" he questions when he sees the look on my face.
I take a moment before I answer. Looking at the ground I speak. "Dad, I want to get out of town for a while." I pause and finally look up at him.

The next day finds me sitting on Lydia’s bed while she’s telling me everything that could go wrong and why she won’t help me. I spaced out on reason number 30. I’ve had enough of this at this time so I stop her. “Lydia!” I shout and she stops. “Lydia, I’m serious. The Alpha Pack is strong and with two half assed packs that don’t even like working together fighting them, they’re just going to keep beating us up until we’re too hurt to fight, then finish us off one by one.
“If what I saw in Ethan’s eyes is what is saw then we have a chance to take the Alpha Pack down from the inside, merge our packs, and get more pack members. So I need your help and it’s past the time we should have clued in Danny.” I finish

Summary
Stiles Stilinski is one of the few people left who still likes to write letters, no matter what advanced technology has given us in 2014.
For Stiles, there’s nothing like receiving a letter or writing one. Feeling the paper under your hand, letting the ball of your pen glide along the surface, the sound of them both when they make contact with each other. There’s a romanticism, a beauty in it that texting or emailing won’t ever be able to recreate.
It’s with these thoughts in mind, after another very bad and hurtful break-up, and another restless night, that Stiles decides to pick a random place on the map of the United States, and find someone to write to. That’s how he ends up finding Derek Hale.
