Summary
There was silence for a while. Heavy, uncertain silence eased only by Shirabu’s mind working up a list of ways to dispose of his teammates’ bodies. Ushijima looked deep in thought, as he always did, and Shirabu was mentally debating the efficiency of concentrated sulfuric acid when Ushijima spoke up again.
“In that case, would you still like to go see that movie? Even with just the two of us?”
Shirabu’s pretty sure if this was an anime, this would be the sequence where he’d have smoke blowing out of his ears, face glowing an unnatural shade of pink, with matching sound effects and a record scratch and kyaa, kyaaa—
His teammates were so dead.

Summary
And he doesn’t see anyone, not right away, and maybe that’s just because of flickering lights and dark skies, and maybe it isn’t. Because Kunikida knows the type of people who linger here, knows exactly what kind of person he might find, if he keeps ducking into alleyways and dark corners, but he doesn’t care.
No one deserves to die alone in the dark, no matter what they’ve done.
Kunikida steps into another dark alley – his fourth one, he thinks, though he hasn’t been counting – and immediately comes to a stop. There’s blood under his feet, and it isn’t dried either, so he knows he’s found the right place.
“Who’s here?” He calls, unconcerned about keeping his voice low. If it were any other time, he’d call himself an idiot for shouting, for alerting possibly enemies to his whereabouts, but there are more important matters at hand.
There’s a harsh laugh, and an even harsher laugh, and Kunikida finally gets his answer.
“Of all people to wind up here,” a low voice says, “it had to be one of you Agency types.”

Summary
Those words might not have seemed like much, but coming from Akutagawa, they were gratefulness for everything Chuuya had done for him, and it was a form of goodbye.
Because thatʼs what it was, wasnʼt it?
Chuuya was going to die tonight, protecting the people he cared and loved for.
Or: Chuuya is a bit suspiciously too self-sacrificing, and ends up using Corruption to give the people he cares for another chance at life. Will Dazai get to him in time or will Chuuya succumb to his injuries?
