When George runs into Dream after three years apart, they quickly fall back into the easy friendship they had when they were kids. But they aren’t kids anymore, and George struggles with new, unfamiliar feelings for his childhood friend.

Summary
George reaches for his bow instead, going through the motions of nocking the arrow on autopilot. It’s an extension of his own arm as he breathes in, aims, and releases. The ghast explodes.
“That’s one way to kill a ghast,” Dream beams. “Go off.”
George laughs, running a self-conscious hand through his hair. “It worked.” He pads through the sand to the spot where the ghast had died. “No tear.”
“Oh well. Seriously, George, that was cool.”
The praise is heady, fizzing up in his chest like a regen potion. “Come on, you’re just messing with me now.”
“I’m not, George, I’m not,” Dream says earnestly, touching his shoulder. There’s a layer of iron armor between them, but George could swear he feels the phantom weight of his hand anyway. George’s cheeks burn, and he pulls his arm away, a bit more roughly than necessary. The Nether always messes with your mind between the dry heat and the inability to sleep. The sooner they leave the better.

Dream and George accept the same quest to kill a dragon. Along the way, they learn more about each other, and themselves.

“It’s not your turn,” George complains, face unreadable.
Dream makes a frustrated sound. “Ask me then.”
“Okay.” George turns on his side, facing the tv. It’s impossible for Dream to see his face from this angle. His shoulder digs into Dream’s thigh, but Dream barely feels it, distracted by his racing heart. “Truth or dare?”
“Truth,” Dream says, too loud. He takes a steadying breath before letting the words spill out of him. “I want to kiss you right now,” Dream admits. “I’ve wanted to kiss you for a while. I love you.”

Summary
Dream’s hands are broad enough to envelop his shoulders as he works at the knots there. He presses so hard it almost hurts, warmth flooding in when he moves to a different part of George’s back. George tips his head back, sighing. Dream has always been affectionate, much to George’s feigned chagrin, but this feels different, somehow. More intimate. He can’t bring himself to stop it.
Or, George’s back hurts, so Dream gives him a massage. George can’t help but be vocal, and Dream’s mind strays to less than innocent places.

George is immensely thankful his webcam is off because his face is burning up and everything sounds far away as Dream says again, “I’ll marry you, George.”No one actually knows what George came to Florida for. He left most of his stuff in his flat. Even Robert is staying with his parents because he didn’t want to subject him to a transatlantic flight if he just comes back in three months. It’s not like he’s ashamed or anything, it’s just... It’s just no big deal. George is going to hang out with Dream, have a good time, and maybe get married and stay here forever.
No big deal.

Summary
Yuri is easy to spot amongst the crowd, still decked out in animal prints, though luckily it’s only his sweater today. He’s grown tall and for a moment they’re eye to eye. Then Yuri ceases to slouch and stands up properly and Otabek has to look up at him slightly. It’s a far cry from the stoic ten year old boy that imprinted himself into Otabek’s mind or the prideful fifteen year old teenager who made the pact of friendship with him.
The lack of pictures makes sense. Yuri hasn’t wanted to document his inevitable growth.
