Peter wakes up before his alarm goes off because the door slams open. He was in a dream somewhere but it disappears as soon as the door opens because Happy is rushing in and grabbing him up.
“Wait wait wait,” Peter says, feeling dizzy and sleepy as he reaches down and grabs the phone from the charger. He doesn’t remember plugging it in, and he guesses someone else did that for him. “What’s wrong? What’s wrong?”
Happy doesn’t say anything and just holds onto him, carrying him out of the room.
“Happy!” Pepper’s voice yells, and she’s there in the hallway and her face is all red and Peter is starting to get scared. “We—we don’t think there’s any threat to him—”

Tony glances behind him, sees Peter inching forward. His eyebrows are furrowed severely and his eyes are shining with unshed tears, and he’s shaking. Tony doesn’t like that he’s here and he’s seeing this, but he can’t have him anywhere else but by his side. That’s it.
Tony wraps his arm around his waist. “He’ll be okay, baby—”
“He’s still breathing,” Rhodey says, leaning forward, over him alongside May.
“He better be—Ben!” She shakes him a little bit, but gently. His mouth moves, like he’s trying to form her name, like he’s trying to pull himself from between sleeping and waking.
