Summary
James Potter is the perfect kid. He has lots of friends, he is popular, he gets good grades. Some would call him the Golden Child. Yes, he is in a lot of fights, but he never starts them. That's what they all think.
Barty Crouch Jr is the opposite, in a way. He only has his close friends, many students fear him, and most say his outstanding grades are just luck. Everyone knows that he starts every fight. And wins.
James and Barty both wind up in detention one day. Normally, Barty is snappy and cold. That day though, he was quiet. Uninterested. Not really present in reality. It is obvious something is going through the boy's mind, and James makes it his mission to figure it out.
He may just find a friend who understands the way his mind is along the way.

Summary
Smart sounding synopsis: Featuring James Potter (human disaster) and Regulus Arcturus Black (human disaster but less obviously) as they fall in love with one another and what it means to live rather than simply survive.
Actual summary: This sorta started out as, what if jegulus was mondler, and then 50k words later this happened. James and Regulus have been in love for years. Since Regulus ran away at nineteen to find his brother again and instead found an entire life and new friendships. Now, Sirius and Remus are getting married and thus, we have the catalyst to our "plot". Regulus is doing better but is still learning how to live as himself. James is doing pretty good, things are geneally going his way. No one likes Barty (i don't know how that happened). Peter is still a rat. Lily can crochet, Mary is a fashion designer with a face, Dorcas is awesome and Marlene is also awesome but more mischeveously.
