“You made sure to get an apartment with a bunch of counter space, to make me stand here and hold ingredients for you?” Stiles smirks, quickly looks over at Scott before tossing his dough into a plastic bin.'

Summary
The car goes quiet and he can't figure out if the silence is pregnant or dismissive. It’s all the same when Derek leaves you in silence.
“I was going to ask you if you felt weird about having her around, the reason I didn’t is because we never dated and you shouldn’t really feel weird.” It’s pointed and filled with blame, like it’s his fault for not feeling weird about it. The words feel sour in Stiles’ gut but his chest feels lighter, communication really is key.
“I don’t feel weird about it, she’s amazing. What I do feel weird about is you saying we never dated. I told you I loved you.”
“I said I loved you too, only thing is I meant it.” Stiles’ eyes sting with tears and he suddenly doesn’t want to communicate anymore.
“Who told you I didn’t mean it? You’re making fucking assumptions like you fucking know anything, I don’t fucking need this shit.” His voice cracks and he sounds pitiful, like a spoiled child who was told no.
“You asked for this, Stiles. You can’t keep fucking saying things and retracting them.” Derek yells, slamming his hand against the steering wheel before apologizing, wiping his mouth and stopping the car abruptly.

Something was different now. Sam thought a light had been switched on in the last few weeks, perhaps before he even consciously knew it, perhaps even from the moment he first saw Bucky in his group meeting. Because he couldn’t understand Bucky as a concept, not really. That deep, deep need for the wholeness of Bucky was something that only Steve possessed. It wasn’t Sam’s place to understand that.
But Sam did understand something about soldiers. He knew about them. And looking at Bucky now, with his lank hair bunched up against the couch and his eyes fixed on Cinderella scrubbing floors, Sam thought he finally did understand something.

Summary
Stiles was supposed to be put in weight training, but due to scheduling problems he was dropped into Health. It was fine, really, it was up until the point where Coach assigned the baby project. And the kicker?
His partner was the reclusive, intimidating Derek Hale - so it really wasn't fine anymore; especially with a baby who wouldn't give him a moment of rest if Hale wasn't there. However, when the project forces him to get closer to Hale than he would even imagine possible, he learns new things about the Hale family and maybe begins to see Hale in a different light.
