Longbottom Hall has a Henrician feel to it. Dark walnut panelling all the way up the walls, carved scenes in the wood, tasselled curtains falling heavily to floors covered by ancient-looking Persian rugs. Faded tapestries in rich, deep colours wherever one looks. It’s not quite a house anymore, not quite a manor yet.
The magic here feels patient. It feels like a house that might have known Muggles, once upon a time, before their worlds separated.
Fifteenth-century Muggle ladies might have traipsed around here, or lain in that bathtub after being ravished by a wizarding lord.
