No, it's not exactly like it sounds- in the back of his mind, Derek would love for it to be. He'd love to walk Stiles into a gorgeous place where no else can see- but that's sort of the problem, part of why he moved across the country.
He doesn't want to find someone to kiss in secret- at first, maybe, but he wants a family someday; even at 18 he knows that. To do that, he's going to have to be bold enough to actually reach for what he wants, in the open.
