Summary
It was 1987 London, Dazai Osamu was a successful businessman but he felt empty. When his friends suggested visiting a record shop to liven up his life, Dazai thought it was a ridiculous idea and yet… what did he have to lose?
As he stepped inside Stormbringer Records he had no idea his life would be changed forever. The attractive but fiery redhead who worked there was like no one he’d ever met before and opened Dazai's eyes to a whole new world.
The redhead, Chuuya, was the complete opposite of Dazai in every way. He was a passionate political activist, and also proudly gay. Having grown up in a conservative household, Dazai had only ever been taught how wrong that was. The more time he spent with Chuuya though, the more he questioned how something would be so ‘wrong’ when it felt so right.
Chuuya made Dazai feel truly alive for the first time, but he also made Dazai question things about his sexuality. In a time where the government were pushing an anti-gay agenda, it wasn’t easy for him to come to terms with this. The pair are different in every way but was the thread that joined them strong enough to survive in this tricky social climate?

Dazai was starting college for perhaps the fiftieth time, maybe even more than that. After joining the Fukuzawa clan about two hundred years ago, Dazai had been learning to live a clean life and atone for his dark past.

“You did what?!” Chuuya was seething. He had never considered murdering his colleagues before but right now he was very tempted.
“Okay, okay, I know you’re mad but hear me out!” Tachihara backed away from Chuuya with his arms outstretched as if he were in front of a wild animal.
“I will do nothing of the sort. You put me in a dating ad?! Are you insane?!”
“I think he might be,” Gin commented from across the room where she was just watching the situation unfold.
“Okay I know but, wouldn’t it be nice to have a date on Valentine’s Day?”
And that's how Chuuya found himself in a restaurant waiting for a stranger, totally questioning his life choices. What he did not expect was for his ex-partner to walk through the door and head towards him with a bouquet of flowers.
Or: Dazai saw a dating ad in the newspaper to take a redhead on a date. It has been four years since he had left the mafia, left Chuuya, and he decided that maybe it was time for him to finally try to move on. But fate had another plan and Dazai was, for the first time in his life, completely surprised to find Chuuya waiting for him.
