"Noted," Jayce smiles. He steps closer. "But I won't be handling you. I'll be guiding you. There's a difference, V."
Jayce extends a hand: palm open, waiting. Viktor stares at it for a beat too long. Foolish. Frivolous. Pointless. But then Jayce's fingers twitch—just barely, almost imperceptibly—and Viktor feels something in his chest loosen.
He takes it.
Jayce, noticing Viktor's anxiousness at the gala, asks him to dance. And who is Viktor to deny him?

His hair was no longer long and unkempt but neat and short. He brought his hands down to look at them. Human. Completely and totally human.

The first time Viktor kissed Jayce, it was a quick peck on the cheek, followed by a casual conversation. The next time it's on the lips, but then it's back to talk about formulas. Jayce concludes it must be a cultural thing, and also starts to kiss Viktor back. Everybody else is confused.
A story of two friends kissing each other, who are definitely not boyfriends.
