Summary
“And you want me to what?” Eddie asks. “Talk shit about Gerrard so you can write some article that’ll get you a couple clicks but ultimately do shit. Not helping you with that.”
“I want you to date me.”
Eddie can’t help it.
He laughs long and loud.
Eddie date Taylor? The Taylor Kelly he hated the minute she walked into their firehouse with a camera and a plastic smile? The Taylor Kelly who wanted to broadcast Bobby’s breakdown in order to break into the news world? The Taylor Kelly who threw away a relationship with the single most incredible man for a story? A couple screws must have gotten loose in her head if she’s able to entertain the idea of Eddie ever saying yes.
With Gerrard terrorizing the 118, Eddie makes a split second decision to date Taylor Kelly in order to help her get rid of him. If Buck paid a little more attention to Eddie while he was with Taylor, then that was just a wild coincidence.

Summary
Sophia managed to get Buck alone in the kitchen. “Hey, Buck, right? I’ve heard so much about you. Seriously, Eddie does not shut up about you.”
Buck gave her a bashful smile, and yeah, Sophia could definitely see how easily Eddie fell for him. The air around this guy screamed warmth and comfort, two things that Sophia knew Eddie craved.
“I can say the same about you,” he said.
“How long have you two been together?”
The way Buck tilted his head reminded Sophia of an overgrown puppy, the pull of his eyebrows bringing attention to his frankly beautiful eyes. “Together?”
Eddie and Buck were in El Paso for Christmas. The Diaz family has opinions.

Summary
As if someone up there was reading his thoughts, through the clouds, he saw a beautiful streak of light, burning green and gold. It was there one second, streaking past the next, and not visible in the last. Evan’s never seen something light the night sky like that before, beautiful and no doubt capturing the attention of those down below. It waved down at him on its way West. California, maybe?
It was customary to wish on a shooting star; Evan had heard as much. It couldn't hurt to try. He closed his eyes, feeling a little silly, and whispered underneath his breath for the one thing he’d wanted since he went to Danny McGregor’s fifth birthday party.
“I want somewhere to feel like home.”
Three wishes Buck makes on a shooting star, and one he doesn’t.

Summary
Gasps rippled through the room as the implication settled in.
"I shot Hamilton," Burr whispered, his eyes fixed on the screen in sheer disbelief. Alexander himself was left utterly speechless. He knew that Burr wasn't particularly fond of him, but to kill him.
"How—" John began, starting to rise from his seat, but Mulligan held him back.
“Why would you do that?” Peggy cried as Eliza gripped Alexander, glaring at Burr.
"I don't know," Burr stuttered, his voice trembling. "I don't like Hamilton, but I don't want him dead."
"The recording is from the future," Jefferson interjected. "Believe me when I say, things become tense."
"What happens?" John demanded, his eyes locked on Jefferson.
Jefferson shook his head, turning back to the recording.
Alexander's wedding day is disrupted when a white flash transports everyone to an odd room, where a letter claims they'll be watching his legacy.

Summary
Eddie was a father first.
He could be selfish. He could let Buck say the words he's been waiting to hear and then kiss him dumb.
But he couldn't ruin this.
Buck was something pure, something good, something a person like Eddie couldn't ruin. Because that's what Eddie did. He ruins beautiful things and then leaves them to pick up the pieces.
His son knew that.
Eddie comes out to Chris, makes a promise, and breaks his own heart in the span of one conversation. If you can call it that.

Summary
Buck moves toward Eddie until he’s directly in front of him, and raises his hands to cradle his face. Eddie looks away, bravery gone, but Buck guides his head straight, forcing Eddie to make eye contact.
“Do you trust me?” Buck asks quietly, gaze piercing.
Eddie swallows. “Of course I do. Of course.” His heart pounds so hard that Eddie thinks it may burst out of his chest.
Buck is so close, and Eddie’s eyes fall to his lips. Buck leans forward as if to kiss him, and he tilts his head up to meet him. He didn’t get to kiss him yesterday. Maybe today, he thinks, tilting upward. But then, Buck changes course, his lips ghosting over Eddie’s ear.
“Then get on your knees,” he whispers, and oh fuck.

When budget cuts force the 118 to find other ways to make money, Buck and Eddie decide to create an OnlyFans account. They're best friends, and they're both straight. What could go wrong?

Summary
He sat on the couch, with his tongue between his teeth, literally biting his tongue. Because well, every part of Buck—down to the molecular level—wanted to convince him to stay. Beg, or bargain. Ask Eddie to take Buck with him. Hide in his suitcase. Cry, maybe, or throw the tablet at the wall, break every other electronic in the house.
But that would be selfish. And really weird.
Eddie goes to El Paso. Buck moves into his house. He'll come back, right?

Summary
“Just, let me know if anything is too much? We can always leave. Or grab some of the stuff and bring it back to ours,” Eddie says. “Or, anything you don’t like we can throw off Buck’s balcony?”
Chris rolls his eyes and puts his phone down. “Alright, Dad. I don’t think we have to worry about throwing anything off the side of the building though. Unless the Christmas tree looks like that,” he says, pointing to the large Charlie Brown-esqe tree strapped to the roof of the car in front of them.
“I think me and Buck picked out a better one than that,” Eddie laughs. “Plus, I wouldn’t want to ruin anyone’s holiday by dropping a Christmas tree on them.”
Or: Eddie almost dies on Christmas day
