His eyes lingered on the card Christopher made for him after the truck bombing.
And oh. Of course.
That’s what it was about. Christopher is what it’s always been about.
Buck couldn’t be mad at Eddie for that. He would do the exact same thing if he had to.
So, he was going to suck it up and be supportive of Eddie’s decision... from a distance. If he stepped back now, it wouldn’t hurt as bad when Eddie left for real.
At least, that’s what he kept telling himself as he tried to fall asleep that night.
