“I know. I’m sorry.” Buck made the mistake of clearing his throat. A sharp stabbing pain in his side shocked him when he tightened his abs to cough. It subsided quickly and only the previous throbbing aching pain was left, but for a second, Buck had grabbed the hand holding his tightly—Eddie’s hand.
