Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.

Tim knew Bruce would send them on their vacation two or three at a time because Gotham couldn’t afford to have all its vigilantes away at the same time. He was confident that he would be alone to relax and do as he liked without fearing encountering the others. Or at least he had been until the morning his flight was scheduled, he came face to face with Damian dressed in casual warm clothes and a bag, glaring up at him.“Fuck. Are you also taking the same flight as well?” Tim asked pressing a hand against his forehead. Damian who, for once, looked surprised and out of his footing quickly furrowed his eyebrows and feigned disinterest in the situation they were in.
“Do not concern with me. This is but an unfortunate coincidence. Having to endure your company for this flight isn’t any different than having to tolerate you at home”
“Aw, are you guys travelling together? Are you brothers?” Tim looked behind just to meet the disgusted eyes of Damian who had trailed close to him.
“behave” he admonished.
“I am”
