Summary

He'd only seen the transformation a handful of times in person. The flare of power like static electricity against his fur, mouth agape in open adoration as Sonic lifted into the air with the power of pure chaos at his fingertips. No one was more worthy of it, in Tails's opinion. If there was anyone who would use that power to protect the world, it was Sonic.
And he believed the emeralds knew that, too, or they wouldn't give him that power so freely.But he wanted to help. He wanted to protect the world by Sonic's side, to be trusted just as much. He wanted Sonic to believe in him, too.

At one point, Tails and Knuckles used the Chaos Emeralds alongside Sonic to go super. They don't really do that anymore. Though if Sonic has anything to say about it, they won't ever again.

Sonic snaps his head up, seemingly no longer aware of the dizziness that made him feel sick or the exhaustion that weighed his body down. All of his previous worries are now replaced by concerns for his little brother.
Tails was there. He remembers seeing the fox. The last thing he remembers is seeing the fox.
It's coming back to him now, in an episodic way he remembers what got him here. Eggman attacked. Shadow was there. So was Zavok. And Metal and Chaos.

Summary
Short stories centered around the general idea of "what if Infinite came back?" More specifically what if he broke out of his imprisonment from the Phantom Ruby? All Infinite wants to do is to take over the world just to feel something.
There is mention of blood in one chapter but I don't like gore that much so it's a very light description if anything. Infinite also loves playing with people's emotions to try and break them. I also go into a bit of Shadow's past cuz I wanted to (I JUST learned about Project Shadow LOL sorry I'm late to the party).
Infinite could be such a cool villain if SEGA like... did anything with him.

Summary
3 years of no contact with sonic. 3 years with losing his last family member. 3 years feeling abandoned by his idol. 3 years with being taken care of by Shadow. Being with the dark hedgehog is still something he hasn't gotten accustomed to, but tails really does love his new big brother.
Or; Sonic has abandoned tails, and shadow has taken care of tails for 3 years. They try their best to navigate a life trying to recover from wounded past and maintain their brotherhood.
