It all happens very fast after that. He sees the guy’s expression darken, and he knows it’s three against one and that the odds aren’t in his favour. He knows that the bus stop, where other people may be, is three blocks away still. He knows he can’t turn his back to them, not again, not anymore. He knows he can’t pull out his phone without having it ripped from his hands.
He knows that he shoves back when he is shoved first and that the snow is slippery, and now soaking into his clothes. He knows that his head hurts when it hits something (creating a continuous beeping in his ears), and then his stomach hurts when someone most likely kicks it. Then the world turns upside down a couple of times until he doesn’t know up from down. Then he hits his head again and he doesn’t know anything anymore.

Or that time that Simon gets a serious head injury and it might be the last straw for Wilhelm to gather the courage to blackmail his mother.
