“Are you sure about this?” Izzy asked Ed without turning to look and Stede saw Ed frown. “It’s not too late to change your mind.”
“Izzy--”
“Everything will be different if I stay.”
Ed shook his head, a stubbornly defiant expression appearing on his face in place of the frown. “It doesn’t have to be.”
“Yes, it does.”

Returning to The Revenge for the second time, Izzy decides that he's got to do things differently if he wants different results. He begins setting his own boundaries and planning for the future for himself and his daughter.

“What about your captain?” Jackie asked, tipping her head back to where Edward and Bonnet were holding court with a group of hangers-on. Bonnet was in his element, telling elaborately embellished versions of his adventures in ‘piracy’ with Ed looking on adoringly.
“Don’t have one,” he told her, aiming for snide, but landing somewhere closer to forlorn. He didn’t wait around to hear a reply.

Izzy was set adrift on an ocean of uncertainty when Edward reunited with Bonnet. Edward no longer wants to be Blackbeard, a pirate, a captain or anything Izzy recognizes as the man he would have followed straight into Hell without question. The man he’d loved from a careful distance for decades. And as everything Blackbeard disappeared, so did everything Izzy Hands.
A new possibility for a purpose presents itself from an unexpected source and Izzy leaps at it. Even if it means leaving behind everything he knows and everything he ever was.

"Why don't you call your dad? Your dad can't be too mad. Insurance will pay for this. If it was my son in a crash I'd just be glad that he's ok," the stranger says.
As they stand on the side of the highway, Peter thinks that he really does need to call Mr. Stark and describe the destruction of his expensive car, there's no way around that. But it's not as easy as the man said, because Mr. Stark isn't his dad, as much as Peter would like that. Therefore Mr. Stark can be as mad at Peter as he wants to.
OR
Peter crashes Tony's car, but when Tony shows up, Peter realizes some things that he hadn't understood before.

To top off all the crazy, they want him to apply for the Young Interns program at Stark Industries. They may not be big fans of Tony Stark, but he has some impressive equipment they would love to get their hands on. Peter doesn't care about their motives, but he's been a fan of Tony Stark for pretty much forever...

Summary
The Revenge spots a drifting, seemingly abandoned ship. Is it haunted, overrun by demons, or full of vampire-mermaids? Probably none of the above, Ed and Stede think, though some of the crew have different ideas. There does seem to be something wrong about that ship though. It warrants some investigation.
This is a ghost story/horror genre (not too scary) multi-chapter story set in the wonderful Co-Captains time before everything went to hell. This story is now complete.

Ed cracks a most delightful grin and puts his hand on his heart. “Tell you what, if I die before you, promise I’ll come back and haunt the fuck outta you, mate.”
“That would be absolutely lovely. Thank you.”
Ed laughs again and Stede watches his face light up. His eyes are adjusting to the dark, and he can see the outline of Ed’s features again, and can catch the flash of white teeth. Stede could swear that when Ed tosses his head laughing, the faint light from the moon and stars flows like water through the silver in his hair.
