I'm terrible at summaries, but...
Mirabel is not part of the Madrigal family, she is the daughter of Encanto's resident hunter where she joined the same profession as her father. That doesn't mean Mirabel isn't close with the Madrigals. It would appear that no matter what universe Mirabel finds herself in, she will always be close to the Madrigals, especially one Isabela Madrigal.
