When a person is born they have a birthmark on their wrist and it is a name of their soulmate. If their soulmate dies the birthmark disappears and if the soulmate is on the brink of death the birthmark fades.
For all of his life Hawks was told that his soulmate died on Shenko Hill in a great fire which destroyed him yet his soulmate mark hasn't disappeared. He was labeled as one in the million for this rare occurrence to happen but in reality his soulmate is still alive and they are going to have to deal with a lot of obstacles
