Dan just wants a normal, uncomplicated life. He went to school, got a job, went through a series of ever-more-disastrous flatmates, and finally, finally, he's found one that he gets along with. Mike Crew's odd, but Dan can ignore odd for the sake of uncomplicated. Ignoring a bit of spookiness isn't that hard, and it's worth it to have a flatmate who actually takes out the rubbish every once in a while, Ryan.
