After the cruiser Yuei is ambushed and destroyed by pirates, only a handful of her crew manage to escape. Stranded on an uncharted and unforgiving planet, the survivors—a mix of navy personnel and marines—must find a way to work together to endure.
But survival is anything but simple. The fiery marine sergeant Katsuki Bakugo has little patience for the navy crew, who he believes were outmatched in the battle. Izuku Midoriya, one of the navy’s senior enlisted, couldn’t have imagined worse company than Bakugo. Old tensions between them resurface, tensions Izuku has done his best to avoid since joining the navy.
With the ship’s surviving officers either gravely injured or inexperienced, the group must turn to their most capable non-commissioned officers for leadership. S.C.P.O. Shoto Todoroki, is keeping the survivors organized and focused on survival. Meanwhile, the untested Ensign Tenya Iida struggles to step into command.
As resources dwindle and tensions rise, it falls to Izuku, and Katsuki to navigate their differences and keep the group alive—if rescue is even on the horizon.

Katsuki stared at him, adam’s apple bobbing as Izuku stared back. He felt like he could get lost in those green eyes of his, despite dimly-lit room, he could still shape out every green streak of his irises from memory. A lump of guilt strangled Katsuki’s words. “I just don’t think I did it right the first time.” Izuku’s face scrunched even further, seemingly chewing on some silent thought, before a laugh was able to siege his throat.
“Are you serious?”
Or: Bakugo goes to Izuku's dorm to apologize again for being such a dick, receives dick instead.

But nothing, and I mean nothing, could have prepared him for his next mission. A pro-hero? UA student? Him? And that bandaged freak was going to? The demon prodigy? Are you freaking kidding me right now?

“I applied as a joke!” Her voice echoed, bouncing off the smooth white walls of the containment facility. Hands strapped across her back in a tight white straight jacket, floor padded looking through a large window at the one friend she had made since being here.
“Not a joke now huh?” Katsuki Bakugou, the boy she and her associates had kidnaped after seeing him chained to the top of the podium. The fire, the anger, the sheer unadulterated strength he would have brought to the league was uncountable. He sat on a couch, legs spread back slouched scrolling through is phone as Himiko complained.
Himiko gets an opportunity to escape a mental hospital, unfortunately it involves confronting the people she tried to and assisting in trying to kill several times over.

On the way home from school, Izuku is kidnapped and transported into a simulated swamp where his only option is to kill to leave its hellscape. Not only that, but his trials against the swamp and it’s monsters is live-streamed to the entire world. Izuku comes back changed and now has all eyes on him while he's trying his best to become a hero while keeping his head above the water, struggling with a past that he's reminded of daily. The swamp reaper tries his best to live in the present, but old faces from the past keep coming back to make his life difficult.
