So it's been brought to my attention that some feel there's an undertone of abuser-apologist in this fic. Obviously, as someone who has gone through abuse, this is NOT AT ALL what I wanted. When I wrote this fic, I wrote it with the mindset that it's the same as when you're waving your arm around and accidentally bonk someone on the face. If it was Gansey/Blue in this fic it'd end with apologies and 'its okay' and lets move on and not fight anymore. It only spiralled the way it did because of Adam's self perception. I made a point in the second half of the fic to show how it went (objectively). I thought I'd done an okay job, but now I'm concerned for those reading. Physical injury with your partner is NOT normal. Indulge me this fic if it's safe for you, otherwise keep safe xx
