He could already tell that the night was going to be a good one, relishing in the slight breeze ruffling his hair as he turned his gaze up to a darkened sky so clear he could see every twinkling star. Skeppy wonders if the villagers could see him from their windows, judging by the silence around him everyone had already locked themselves up for the night. He was the only one willing to still be out at once the sun sets, the only one not scared off by some simple stories intended for children.

Hovering over his curled up form, torch in hand, is a fucking demon. Because of course there is, Skeppy should’ve known that with all his bad luck of course he was going to encounter a demon. A demon that he’s run from multiple times, a demon he’s gone out of his way to piss off, a demon who is closing in on him fast.

The war ended months ago, and the world has never felt so quiet. Not necessarily at peace with people still being hunted or living in hiding, but there are no more battles or strategies or planning. It is simply quiet.
Yet, that can never exist for too long.
There is something living among them, a life that entered the world during the final battles of L'manberg. It feeds on their anger and fear, doing everything possible to start another war. If only they could see it or know when it's coming. If only they knew how to fight against it, protect themselves from it's control.
If only it would stop taking possession of their thoughts and wills...

Baghera, who had been keeping an eye on him since learning about his imminent death, always managed to catch each time he fell into this threatening persona and break him out of it.

Claiming a human isn’t a rare occurrence, but it isn’t common either, at least in this region. Claiming an infant happens, but it’s preferable to claim a toddler, maybe a young kid. It is rare when a teenager is claimed, especially two, one being considered a caretaker, and the other an important companion.
It is almost unheard of to claim an adult, yet here Techno stands, in the middle of an Elytrian village.
He just wanted to to take a midnight stroll man.

Kristin stares at the young brunette in Phil’s arms, his hair was curled and his eyes were a dark brown, almost tinted blue, he was clinging onto Phil like a lifeline, holding Tommy’s hand tightly.
He was scared, yet entranced by these so called ‘monsters’ with wings. He seemed awe stricken, and curious. Kristin growled at the amount of bandages wrapping around his limbs.
It was clear the boy was theirs now, and NOBODY touched what was theirs.

“I-” Skeppy starts to speak but pauses when he processes what the figure had said. “Human?” He questions. “You’re- you’re not-” He tries to ask but the figure in front of him cuts him off.
“Not human?” It continues the question for him. It giggles, as if Skeppy said a joke. He sees something move in the dark and move close to its face. A small flame appears on what moved in the darkness and now that Skeppy can see he observes the creature in front of him. The thing that moved was a clawed hand, the features of the figure in front of him make his eyes widen in terror.
“Of course I'm not human.”

The Red Banquet failed miserably and BadBoyHalo has no idea what to do moving forward. The Eggpire is threatening to fall apart, each member is being practically forced into hiding while those fighting against them take control of the egg, and his thin hopes of getting Skeppy back are slipping away. He can't just sit around and do nothing, not when there is so much at stake.
That's what led him here, sitting in front of his last resort with a death list of those he used to call friends. He had made the mistake of asking someone to do the impossible once, and he wouldn't make that mistake again. He had found someone better, someone who would finish the job no one else wanted to do.
He didn't want a mercenary's help anymore.
He wanted that of an assassin.
