Summary
After spending five years stuck in the World of the Ocean King, Link returns to the Great Sea, only to find it changed beyond recognition. His friends and family view him as a traitor, accusing him of causing chaos across the ocean. With his allies all turned against him and a curse threatening to take his life, he sets out to reconnect with the one person who may be able to clear his name: Tetra.
Meanwhile, something sinister is rising over the Great Sea--a shadow seeking to spill the hero's blood and revive its fallen master. And this time, Link may not be strong enough to stop it on his own.

Summary
Victory over the sorcerer Gannondorf, the Great Enemy of the Kingdom of Hyrule, came at a steep cost: the life of its promised champion. It was to be the final battle of the age, the climactic and divinely appointed moment which would usher in a new era of the Goddesses' presence and their people's welfare. Instead, Princess Zelda is haunted by the years she spent toiling against the forces of darkness, and is left to pick up the pieces alone. Who was Gannondorf? What was the nature of his crusade on Hyrule? And what is Hyrule supposed to do now?
But these questions, the battered state of her Kingdom, and even her own personal grief must be put on hold; for it would seem that the sorcerer's demise could be the beginning of something much darker. Now, against the wishes of her closest advisors, the Princess will take up her quest anew and seek another champion to wield the Master Sword. She will set sail for the lands to the south, in the hopes that among the rugged islanders another knight dwells. She will find more than she bargained for.
