The aftermath of a crash for both Max and Daniel

Breaking news: F1 World Champion Max Verstappen is in a stable condition after a crash at the Monza circuit.Daniel can hardly breathe as he drives back to the pits. A red flag. From the gasps of the crowds and the debris that he saw flying on the big screens he knows it is bad. He just prays that they are okay. He doesn’t care about the race, he just hopes they are alive and breathing.
There seems to be a lot of hustle and bustle in the pit lanes and in the garages and he knows whatever happened has to be horrible. The faces of everyone around are sombre and he can almost feel the devastation around him. He knows they must all be waiting to see if the person in the car is alive, Daniel's heart sinks at the thought of losing another friend.
He can’t see Max’s car in his garage but he must have been on the other side of the track so he's not there yet. Yeah, that's got to be it.

Max, having recently ended his relationship with Kelly, can no longer hide his feelings for Daniel. He doesn't want to, either, and his newfound openness has left Daniel confused and conflicted. Deep down, Daniel reciprocates Max's feelings but is torn by the belief that their relationship would be wrong or complicated. Despite his reservations, he can't deny the strong attraction he feels.
On the other hand, Daniel's struggle is evident as he tries to resist his emotions. Yet, the more he resists, the more undeniable his feelings become. This internal battle leaves Daniel in a state of turmoil, caught between what he thinks is right and what his heart truly desires.
