Many years ago, a virus wiped out most of humanity by causing a widespread outbreak of infertility, forcing the few remaining humans to genetically blend with a certain breed of wolf in order to survive, creating a hybrid species: half human, half lupine. And finally, the first fertile Omegas emerged, saving humanity and successfully repopulating the planet. Once the crisis was over, society was rebuilt on new foundations. The new humans are now divided into three different castes: the Betas are the majority, normal humans who haven't undergone any significant genetic alterations; the Alphas, who are stronger and more capable, are the leaders, charged with fertilizing and protecting the Omegas and their offspring; and the Omegas, who in turn are largely responsible for perpetuating the species, and are therefore denied any rights that might distract them from this sacred function.
It is in this society of very rigid customs that the fate of a powerful Alpha, Gellert Grindelwald, will cross with that of an Omega, Albus Dumbledore. Gellert wants to marry a good Omega who can give him lots of children. But Albus has other plans...

Após a crise, a sociedade foi reconstruída sobre novas bases e os humanos agora estão divididos em três castas: os Betas são a maioria, humanos normais que não sofreram nenhuma alteração genética significativa; os Alfas, mais fortes e capazes, são os líderes, encarregados de fertilizar e proteger os Ômegas e seus descendentes; e os Ômegas, que, por sua vez, são os grandes responsáveis pela perpetuação da espécie, sendo privados de quaisquer direitos que possam distraí-los dessa função sagrada.

Now that Albus Dumbledore knows the truth about what happened in Brazil he must make a decision as to what he will do about this atrocity that has been committed. He is still stuck with Gellert and the world sees him as a murderer, which limits his options but the decision he does make could change his relationship with the single most important person in his life for the rest of their lives.
Meanwhile, Gellert Grindelwald has a vision of a fate that is to befall one of his acolytes. He declares that he will finally take a step to ensure that the Nazis do not rise to power. However, the vision continues to haunt Gellert and he must ask how much is he willing to sacrifice in the name of his husband.

This was to be his last kill. He'd promised- no, vowed that this would be the last.
He sighed, hands itching for the keys on his laptop, words coming back to him even as he stared at the body he'd just nailed to the wall. Not bad. Messy though, but at least the sheer brutality of it would throw the police off just enough. He didn't need interpol trailing him, though he doubted they'd make the connection, and even if they did, he'd be long gone, a sparrow among a too large flock of others.
At least, that had been the plan, had he not been careless and let the loathsome little bugger get away just in time to make that damned phone call.
_______In which a serial killer falls in love with his target, a crow think's he's found a humming bird, and everyone else is either with them, against them, drunk, trigger happy, or just plain done.
