Besides, he was certain there wasn't an omega in existence that could meet his requirements of a mate. It was too much to ask. A string of lovers would have to do for his more base needs and everything else was just fine.

“I told Seraphina I wasn’t going to get involved in that,” Graves touches his scar unconsciously, which leads Newt to think that it was Grindelwald the one that attacked him.
“It’s not for MACUSA… It’s personal…”
Newt takes a step closer, prompting Graves to glance at him again, the magizoologist forces himself to look into the wizard’s dark eyes.
“My brother, Theseus Scamander, was looking for the dark lord when he disappeared. I think he has him… I don’t… I don’t want you to risk your life by helping me. I just want information, I won’t say where I got it and I won’t bother you again after that… Please, I want to see my brother again.”

While working with him, she manages to befriend a few Auror's and with that gossip.
She heard about a former Auror that disappeared, some say that she's dead.. but other's say she's been locked away by Alastair Malfoy, the man who she was hunting for at the time she vanished.
Coincidentally, Florence and Theseus along with two of her new found friends were signed to hunt down the the man and put an end to him.
