Today would become yesterday then eventually, a bittersweet, fond memory of a chance not taken in the time that slipped through his fingers like sand through an hourglass.

Kazuki would always keep an eye on Shoma whenever they had ice shows or competitions together, the first being more important because skaters tended to let loose more frequently than not. But he did not expect things to get that chaotic, that fast.
Or: Shoma gets drunk after Prince Ice World, and Kazuki gets at least three heart attacks in the middle of it. But it all works out in the end.

Shoma’s father's dragonstone had been fashioned into a beautiful work of dragon runes and metalwork. Shoma allowed his magic to resonate with the piece, marveling at how the piece adjusted to his body accordingly. The dragonstone fragments interspersed throughout the armor glowed brilliant, pulsing red before settling to a subtler color. Daisuke reached into his pocket and Shoma’s eyes immediately identified his mother’s magic woven into the delicate metal headpiece. Daisuke places it on Shoma’s head and Shoma feels a shiver go through him, fairy magic was distinctly different from dragon magic. “You’re ready to carry both of your parents with you now.”
