Summary
Before breaking up for summer, Glinda and Elphaba share a moment together, which drifts back to Glinda's homophobic hometown. Glinda becomes disowned by parents and completely cut off from her support systems at home. Which leads her to returm with more bags than ever before. A new emblem appears, bags a different shade of pink in comparison to Glinda's signature style. LU in cursive, champagne pink in color with gold details, decorated with roses opposed to Glinda's butterflies.
-Elphaba, having drifted even further away from her father, decided against going home by instead beccoming student aid to Dr. Dillamond.
-Nessa, wanting to maintain her independence, chooses against returning home to Munchkin land- despite her close relationship with their father Frex.
-Boq, choosing against returning to his busy childhood home, decided to get a part time job at The Boar and Fennel- a nearby pub.
-Fiyero, given that he comes from Winkie country (which is not connected with train or boat) decides against going home and rather stays at Shiz.So the Charmed Circle are virtually left alone, allowing for some much-needed privacy before classes.

Summary
My telling of what happens after the Wicked film that follows/includes both elements of the book and the actual stage play's second act. Told (mostly) from Fiyero's perspective, though there is a future chapter or 2 that follow different characters.
Based on the section of Gregory Maguire's "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch" of the same name. Takes place after the film, but deviates from what part 2 will be, though still incorporates the themes and ideas of the musical. Elements from the book, like difference between Animals and animals (feel that this was ignored in the movie) exist as they do there, as do other ideas and characters mentioned as the story continues.
My first time writing Wicked. My first real fanfic, too. Constructive criticism is requested. Thanks, and hope you enjoy!

PROLOGUE
Elphaba felt the wind rush against her face and scalp. The wind whipped her cloak around. She might be going faster if it weren’t for the cloak, but it was too precious to her. Maybe it was her imagination, but she somehow felt that she could still feel the warmth of Galinda- sorry, Glinda’s hands tying it around her. She felt the broom darting out towards the horizon as she grabbed on for dear life. And yet, her broom seemed to understand her. It seemed to understand what she wanted. Like it was a part of her. She felt sadness at having left Glinda and Fiyero. She felt fear at what the future might hold for her. But more than anything else she felt anger like nothing she’d ever felt before. She had spent her whole life dreaming of meeting the Wizard, dreaming of a world that she would not be at the mercy of. All her life she dreamed, all for it to turn out to be smoke and mirrors.
She refused to be used. She refused to be a pawn. As she rocketed towards the setting sun, all feelings melted away, as if blown off by the headwinds. The only thing left was determination. If the Wizard wasn’t going to help the Animals, she sure as hell would.

Days and days and days go by in a blur of nothingness. There is an ache in his chest and every time Glinda comes to bed after him, he rolls over towards her in the soft cold dark and opens his leaden arms and lets her tuck her head under his chin, fragile shoulder blades like wings and the knowledge that there should be another person there lying heavy on their heads.
It is on one of those quiet, sad nights that he says into the still darkness, “We can’t keep doing this.”
Or, Wicked Act II, but Elphaba and Fiyero come back for Glinda sooner rather than later. Prequel to 'try not to speak superlatives' (not necessary to read beforehand).
