Summary
When a normal woman who enjoys writing fanfiction somehow gains the attention of the Chaos Gods, she is pulled into the Warhammer 40k universe. She embarks on a quest with her new friends to discover the secrets of the Warp itself so that she may return home. This is an exercise in creativity and an epic "weak to strong" tale as a possible new God-Empress of Mankind navigates her uncertain future in a frightening new reality. This is a huge, epic-length "hero's journey" adventure fic involving decidedly non-heroic people.
This is primarily a Warhammer 40k "isekai" fic embellished with elements taken from the general Oz universe with special attention to "The Wizard of Oz" (1939 film), and "Return to Oz" (1985 film). Knowledge of the Oz universe and L. Frank Baum's literary work is not required to enjoy this story, but it certainly makes it fun. I try to gently introduce Warhammer 40k lore as I go along for anyone who isn't very familiar with that universe. I try to update at least a few times a month.

After somehow surviving a deadly storm, Jeremy wakes up to find himself in a place known as Oz; a bizarre land of talking animals, magic women travelling via bubbles and broomsticks, and vertically-challenged people who call themselves 'munchkins'. But as whimsical as Oz may seem on the surface, a dark shadow has cast itself across the land in the shape of a man - or rather, a wizard - who has returned to rule Oz with a tyrannical fist through deceit and bigotry.
As the first normal human Oz has seen since some girl named Dorothy apparently made an appearance years ago, Jeremy is soon reluctantly swept up in violent revolts and political scheming, all in the name of bringing down Oz's greatest fraud once and for all. Worse yet, for all his evils, the Wizard may well hold the key to Jeremy returning home. That is, if can survive long enough to take it...
OR: I came up with my own 'modern person goes to oz' idea which has definitely never been done before.

The flames of conceptualisation fuelled by the Tin-Man, who only added to the fire with his ridiculous notions of killing the Witch himself. Oh, how she wished he hadn’t said that. Dorothy Gale was no killer, and she refused to stand idle as her friends slaughtered the green fiend, no matter how wicked she may be.

Though in a turn of events, he meets a young non-ozian girl named Dorothy, aswell as her straw-filled friend, the Scarecrow. As they talk about their wishes to meet the wizard, the Tinman joins on their journey, for he wants to ask the wizard for a heart, all so he can love Elphaba again. Things take a turn as he learns more and about the Scarecrow, and he ends up with conflicted feelings.
