Summary

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.

It doesn’t take long before the cracks of being a sorcerer start to bleed into his new 'normal' friendship with a regular person. It also doesn't help that the appearance of the missing death painting has made it clear that sorcerers are not good enough for his baby brother

__They stand there in the embrace for what feels like an eternity. Megumi can feel the tears still streaming down his face and he curses himself for being so weak. Itadori is silent, he doesn’t say anything, he probably feels like he shouldn’t. His hug is comforting, and Megumi almost thinks for a moment that he could stay like this for forever.
Just as he’s about to pull away, Itadori finally speaks, “I don’t think that you’re broken, Fushiguro,” his words are soft, but Megumi catches the small crack in his words as he fights back his own set of tears, much to his unsuccess. Itadori has always been the type to wear his heart on his sleeve. “I just want to be able to be there for you to make sure that that never happens.”
__Megumi is recovering from battle of Shinjuku Showdown, and he doesn't think that he'll ever be able to truly get back to who he was before.
