Tweezle and Erenville are off getting a book from the Great Gubal Library. Tweezle is so very Tweezle and Erenville would agree to just about anything for a moment of silence from her.
She pulled a book out, squinted at the embossed cover through her tinted goggles. "Why's this one got an extra layer of aethereal locks over the top of the title?" She had a hypothesis, of course, but being from Sharlayan, perhaps Erenville had a more precise one.
Erenville glanced at the book in her hand, looked away, then back quickly; he snatched it from her and put it up on a shelf too high for her to reach without climbing.
"Hey! I was looking at that.""Look at it from there. Without using your hands."
"How am I supposed to look at it when I can't open it?"
"I see you are capable of understanding."

(Amusingly, this fic was started intended to be one where the characters initiate sex, but one of them backs out due to nerves. And: I kept it as such. But, after having finished it. I have to admit: It would have been better *with* the sex. And, ironically: *Another* fic I was working on at the same time, *with* sex. Would have been better with them backing out. Another lesson to go with the flow, and change plans if needed~)

Tech, although a thorough planner and a competent fighter, is not one to offer company or reassurance - not that you need either of those things. But.. of course, you do. It's only human to start feeling trapped when you haven't been out of one spot for days.

Ren proposes that he gives Goro a memorable last day before they take on Maruki's Palace and confront him. What he doesn't expect, however, is for this to lead the both of them to Goro's apartment, tangled in his bedsheets, after he'd not-so-subtly asked Ren to sleep with him in hopes to find some closure before the current actualized 'reality' ended.
Moreover, they finally address the tension when it comes to their... previously unresolved romantic feelings towards one another, which goes on to cause a bit of emotional turmoil. Which is mostly resolved.
But in the end, one thing stands true.
Goro Akechi had to leave for good tomorrow.
And so, Ren tries his best not to leave any regrets between the two of them.
