Most of them were somewhere in-between. These are the stories behind the elites and gym leaders of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova - and how they achieved greatness. Will go in chronological order of when they received their titles.

    The leagues were competitive with each other. This system was created long ago to ensure "friendly competition" so that another world region war wouldn't break out between each other like the last time. The Indigo League starts as the best. Unova's education system is nothing to joke about. Hoenn couldn't give less of a damn. Sinnoh's considered a laughingstock with nothing to lose. But as the years go by and things start to change, their competition becomes not-so-friendly. Generational trauma doesn't simply go away. It stays buried deep down, but stirs slowly, and before you know it, the five regions are like barrels of gunpowder, ready to burst.

To combat these evil organizations who would seek to exploit Pokemon, the various regions came together to create the Inter-Region Trainer Laws, where being a Pokemon Trainer was an honor and priviledge. You had to be at least 21 years old to be a trainer and failure to abide by the laws meant imprisonment in the ultimate prison, where a Pokemon Trainer's life was forfeit and subject to whatever punishments bestowed upon them.

    Enter Pokemon Trainer Red, the greatest Pokemon Trainer of all, turned Warden. The Warden is a strict, powerful lawman who upholds the law and dispenses justice upon the criminal element. He has tamed and subdued many criminal trainers. His next target- the Ice Queen of the Kanto Elite Four, Lorelei.

    Once a proud member of the Elite Four, this criminal beauty will now face a new reality- to live and endure harsh punishments delivered to her by her new master and jailer, Pokemon Trainer Red

    Not until Gary's friend Ash won a very distinctive hat in a contest, and then he found a Pikachu chewing wires and knew the two were connected.

    When Ash arrived late, he gave Ash a partner in Pikachu... and then he gave Ash a phone too, with a Chat App, to keep in touch.

    (Lance, Lorelei, and Bruno had to wonder why he insisted on adding them under stupid screen names, while Agatha just grumbled that maybe Oak hadn't hallucinated the whole thing after all.)
