Summary
He begins to leave the clearing, and his mind turns back to moths, mentally cataloging a few new ones he's been meaning to acquire. It's then that he sees something out of the corner of his eye–black with a flash of gold. Immediately, the peace that had fallen over him vanishes, adrenaline spiking; Ford spins, gun unholstered and levelled, ready for anything.
It's a large moth that flits through the air, immediately settling down on the bark of one of the trees, wings folded and still, perfectly unassuming.
Ford finds a unique moth specimen the summer after Weirdmageddon, and various memories (and then a certain someone) are dredged up. (billford with a lepitoptery focus, essentially).
