Summary
“Given the threat level, we want to have an agent with you at all times,” One of the witness protection people- Cameron- stated.
“Like a bodyguard?” Buck asked.
“Essentially, yeah.” Cameron confirmed.
“But wouldn’t that be suspicious?” Buck frowned.
“I won’t be dressed like a Marshal, walking around with my badge on display, Evan.” Tommy pointed out.
“The less complicated the story the better, lowers the chances of you or Kinard slipping up, and is less suspicious.” Cameron explained. “The easiest way to do this is for you and Kinard to pose as husbands.”---

Summary
Let us in The voices are soft. Hissing like snakes, scraping like dry leaves blown across concrete, so quiet it feels like someone is standing behind him and whispering in his ear. He knows there’s no one else in the room, though. The voices can’t cross the property line. Never have been able to. She’s drawn first blood, the truce is broken–let us in
He swallows, and takes a slow, shuffling step over to the window. He looks out across the yard, to where the fenceline holds the trees back. The branches wave wildly in the deepening night, though there’s no wind. Even in the twilight, he thinks he can see pale faces flickering through the leaves.
Let us in
For the first time since they started living on Ma’am’s farm, his curiosity is greater than his fear of his grandmother’s anger.
“What happens if I do?” he asks quietly, and feels like he is saying something he can’t take back.
Or:
Tommy is something not quite human, but that doesn't mean he desires human connection any less. Needs it. Craves it. Is starved for it.What happens when doing a favor for one of the few humans he can say he didn't steal his connection to leads him to a feast?

Summary
Sal is a hotshot wildfire pilot dating the handsomest man on base when he goes and gets himself killed. He wakes up in the afterlife to discover it's now his job to mentor a young pilot. When his trainee's life starts to get uncomfortably close to Sal's old one however, complications ensue.
Excerpt:
Tommy stands out on the balcony. Sal’s plane, with its frankly ridiculous ‘fire eaters’ flame design, isn’t visible on the horizon, but he’s due any second. That is, until the alarm goes off.
“Are you kidding me?!?!” He calls back towards Milton who gives him a long suffering nod.
That motherfucker’s engines are down. He can feel a wave of dread build up in his stomach as he twists the spoon from his morning cereal into a pretzel. That son of a bitch is really gonna kill himself on what he thinks is my birthday.
A hush falls over the tarmac as he sees the crowds of pilots and ground crew slow to a halt, all collectively holding their breath hoping that one of their own makes it back safe and sound.

Summary
At 15 years old Tommy has given up on the idea to leave the group home. He doesn’t want to leave. Over the past three years there have been five different foster families and he doesn’t know which kind of them is worse: The kind that seem nice and like they care, but send him back anyway after a couple of weeks, or the kind that are terrible from the get-go. It seems like the social and group home workers have given up, too. “It’s difficult to find the right fit”, they tell him and what they mean is: “You are difficult to fit in.” He knows it’s not entirely his fault per se. Younger children just have a much better shot at this than fully grown teenagers. Maybe if he was a girl at least he’d stand half a chance, but Tommy isn’t small or nice or cute. He’s tall and broad and he hides his feelings behind a scowl. He looks like trouble and everybody knows it.
Or: Tommy has a complicated relationship with feelings of love. His childhood wasn't exactly full of it and he lost love in many ways over the years. Family has always been a touchy subject, friends are complicated and not as reliable as they seem. Romantic love is on a whole other level entirely. One thing he's learned by now: Love is always, always conditional.

Summary
If someone were to ask Buck what being an olympian was like, he’d tell you it’s the best thing in the world. He has fame, money, and a rocking, hot body because of his literal job as a professional athlete. Sure, he was also one of the few dozen omegas competing at the Olympics, and the only male omega swimming at this level, but that doesn’t change anything for Buck.
So, yeah, life as an olympic-level swimmer was great.
-----
Or,
Buck is an Olympic swimmer and USA Swim just hired a new coach that also happens to be Buck's childhood idol—Eddie calls him Buck's man-crush, but Eddie should just go back to studying his split-times. Tommy Kinard is a former Olympic gold medalist swimmer whose posters resided on Buck's walls for years.
The LA Olympics are going to be an interesting two weeks. Buck had no idea just how much his life would change in such a short period of time.

Summary
Coaching was never something Tommy thought he would be doing after his retirement.
Being a last minute addition to the Olympics swim team’s coaching staff was definitely not where Tommy thought he’d end up.
He also certainly never thought about what it would be like to meet one of the two American swimming darlings, Evan Buckley. All six foot two, long limbs and fair skin with a head of curly dark blond hair and mesmerizing blue eyes of the Omega.
------
The companion piece to "jump in and lose yourself" in Tommy's POV. The missing pieces of the puzzle, if you will.

Summary
“You’ll be in the pilot’s seat soon enough Evan.” Tommy flashed an easy smile.
That smile could crack Buck if it tried hard enough. Buck didn’t know why but he felt like with enough time and a little concentrated effort, that smile could have him telling Tommy things Buck had never dared think about in the presence of the 118.
---
Buck returned to the 118 after the lawsuit, but it didn't mean things went back to normal. After months of mistreatment, Buck can't take it anymore so he transfers to the one station no one from the 118 could easily follow him to: the 217 LAFD Air Operations

Summary
Tommy has planned the perfect proposal. Nothing goes according to plan.
Excerpt:
Howie?" Tommy's voice was a mix of desperation and hope. "I need your help. You don't happen to have access to a metal detector, do you?"
There was a pause on the other end of the line. "A metal detector? That's... an unusual request. What's going on, man?"
Tommy closed his eyes, dreading having to explain his predicament. "It's a long story, but I think I might have lost something important on the beach during a call yesterday. Something small, made of metal, and incredibly important."

Summary
A collection of short stories about various dates Buck and Tommy go on, including taking the kids to the zoo, picnics under the stars, ferris wheels and roller skating at the pier and so much more. Nothing but fluff and happiness for these two! (Except in one instance.)
Each story is completely independent of the other. At least one story will contain age related death but there will be a warning in the author's notes at the beginning if that's something you're triggered by. Any other triggers will be in the A/N each chapter as well as a short description of the story.

Chris has been in a terrible mood since the wedding. Eddie Diaz is trying really hard to be a good father.
---
‘Umm,’ Eddie stalled. He was trying to remember what Christopher would have seen at the party, which might have been easier if he weren’t also trying to find a time to turn left on a relatively busy road, but hey, parenting was about multitasking, right?
And deflection. Deflection was a pretty handy parenting strategy, Eddie had found.
‘Didn’t you ask him?’ Eddie said, deflecting masterfully.
