He knows them better than Crozier, so wrapped in himself that he missed probably countless opportunities to head off Hickey’s mutinous designs, could ever hope to know them.
And what’s more, Henry knows it, too; he feels a small, burning pleasure at the fact that Crozier isn’t the man that the rescuers have been asking questions about the expedition members to. It’s Henry instead, and he hopes, absolutely desires, that Crozier is completely aware of that fact. Hopes it poisons him from the inside like whatever the hell it was he poured down James’ throat.
