Summary
Rising star Rey Niima was forced to say an abrupt good-bye to her trusted bodyguard, Cassian Andor, due to a health crisis. So on the weekend before Christmas, when she's slated to head to Colorado for a solo weekend of relaxation and healing (Amilyn's words, not her own), she meets her new bodyguard, one Ben Solo.
She's not happy about it, of course. Replacing Cassian would be a daunting task, on a good day. But now, before the holidays? She's really not prepared to spend a holiday weekend alone, surrounded by the luxuries of Vail, all by herself, while happy families come and go on the slopes and in the apres ski lounge. But it's fine.
She'll be alone, just like she usually is, except this time, with some balding, older gentleman watching over her.
It's better than the alternative, though. She can just get blitzed at brunch every day, have multiple spa treatments and glide through the inevitable signings she'll have to do. She'll survive.But when she walks out into Amilyn's office to meet her new, temporary bodyguard, he's nothing like she'd imagined.
"Oh, no. He's hot."
