Summary
Just an exploration of Joji through a more fluffy, romantic lens and his life between the tumult of his music career and having the balance of a long term relationship. Primarily taking place during his fall 2023 Pandemonium tour, I loved the idea of a slice-of-life style narrative that had him alongside a partner who appreciates his work and artistry, but has difficulty with how often he is away.
This portion of the story is a bit of a one-off, an en media res introduction, meant to test the waters a bit with this writing. I may expand and add more chapters, getting into more detail with the two characters with chapters using flashbacks/vignettes to fill in the expository gaps.
Keep in mind that like other fics involving real people, I do not intend for this work to be in any way in offensive to him. Rather, like others, I find him utterly fascinating and his public persona is being used as a source of inspiration here.
Another note, I will use discretion when it comes to things about Joji that are known publicly, such as his health issues. I refuse to romanticize or subject his real life issues to unfounded speculation through the writing I do for fun.

The narrative reflects the human experience of giving up something we love for something else, showing the bittersweet side of life’s decisions. The fig tree symbolizes wanting more but knowing we can’t have everything. The story ultimately explores the sacrifices we make, similar to George's choice between a private life and fame
