She's got a good job, a small but homey apartment, and a swoon-worthy neighbor, Marius, that she's already fallen in love with. When said swoony neighbor invites her to after-work drinks, it seems like she's finally in the right place at the right time.
Unfortunately Marius's bar of choice is where his friends hang out, and one of his friends happens to be Gabriel Enjolras. AKA the man she spent a whirlwind summer with and ghosted after he told her he was in love with her. But Eponine is a changed woman, and she can salvage this - even if it means making Gabe complicit in a web of lies. Can she make amends with Gabe and romance Marius? Totally! As long as she keeps Gabe at arm's reach, which of course, turns out to be easier said than done.
