Summary
Lin was about to offer to interview their contacts again, when a clatter in the bullpen caught all of their attention. There was a scuffle outside, two voices growing louder and louder as they approached their conference room. One voice they all recognized belonged to their receptionist, Layla, and the other-
Lin cursed under her breath.
The other voice was as familiar to Lin’s as her own. For most of her life, that had been a blessing. Though now, it was like a warped curse on them both. The earth bender’s heart skipped a beat. She knew, before he even opened the door that he was coming here. There was only one person alive that could sneak up on her.
OR: What if Aang dies earlier, and just as they're picking up the pieces, the new Avatar is found? Tenzin, Bumi, Kya and their family are trying to move forward, and all of their progress (or lack thereof) comes to a crashing halt. It's messy, it's rough, it's them at their worst

Summary
After spending some sixty odd decades as the nonbending son of the Avatar and Master Katara, very ordinary brother to extremely remarkable Masters Kya II and Tenzin; Commander Bumi, Rtd. suddenly has the ability to airbend out of places not his ass and mouth.
And now at the ripe, young age of sixty two, he has to make peace with both the reality he's lived for for the past six decades and a future he's never imagined, even in his wildest dreams.
Or, part fanfic set between seasons 3 and 4, part character study, but fully a love letter to the character who is my most beloved.

Summary
Throughout Bumi’s entire life, Aang was the one who was obsessed with his legacy. He was the one who wanted to leave behind a piece of himself. He was the one with the ridiculous standards for what that piece of him should be like.
And Bumi was simply the one that, through no fault of his own, didn’t fit that criteria.
…
Eighteen-year-old Bumi is beyond ready to leave home and find the place where he truly belongs, since it clearly isn’t with his birth family.
This is a follow up to another work of mine, Slave to the Elements. It is not necessary reading, but it’s the same semi-canonical universe.
I don’t own these characters, they belong to whoever owns A:tLA.
Anyways, enjoy!

Summary
When Bumi was younger, he thought something was wrong with him, and even now at eleven, he still felt like maybe there was. Surely, the first born child of Avatar Aang and Master Katara would be just as powerful a bender as they were, be that in air or water. Bumi knew his dad really wanted an airbender on the first try.
Instead, they got stuck with him. Ordinary, powerless, element-less Bumi.
…
Bumi overhears Zuko reassuring his daughter that she doesn’t need to be a bender in order to be someone worth loving and wonders why his own father never told him that.
I don’t own these characters, they belong to whoever owns A:tLA and LoK.
Anyways, enjoy!

Summary
After spending some sixty odd decades as the nonbending son of the Avatar and Master Katara, Commander Bumi, Rtd. suddenly has the ability to airbend out of places not his ass and mouth.
And now at the ripe, young, virile age of sixty two, he has to make peace with both the reality he's lived for his entire life and his future ahead. And maybe find a hobby or a girlfriend if he finds enough time with his brother breathing down his neck, despite it seeming near impossible.
Or, a love letter to the character who is my most beloved, in the form of a bunch of events that happen in the three year timeskip between Book 3 and Book 4.

Summary
Izumi and Bumi were never exactly normal, with one of them being a late-bloomer-firebender princess, and the other being the nonbending firstborn of the Avatar and Chief of the Southern Water Tribe. But things take a turn for the stranger when they trigger a cataclysmic event. Propelled 22 years into the past, dropped into the midst of a war so long over to them that it’s mere history, they’re forced to reckon with who they are, and who they choose to be.

Summary
They sit in silence for several moments, with Bumi chewing his lip and squeezing the stress ball in his hands while Kya twists the Rubik’s Cube just enough to put Bumi on edge about her messing it up.
Finally, Bumi blurts out, “I don’t think I’m ever going to want to have a crush on anyone.”
Kya doesn’t look up. She just shrugs and says, “That’s fine. Dating is overrated anyways.”
