One does not simply disparage Kylo Ren. For years Hux made that mistake. He won’t again, but is there more to this cruelty than meets the eye?
Pryde doesn’t tire. He never seems to — perhaps that’s why he’s called “Steadfast” — but apparently he grows bored of caning Hux’s white flesh into angry red welts. He wanders off, searching, and the subject of his fancy resorts to begging.
Hux crawls toward Kylo, averting his gaze. He’s shaking, trying to speak but incapable until Pryde returns dragging a display table behind him. Hux is on his knees, his eyes streaming. “Supreme Leader, I’m sorry. Don’t make me do this.”
“I won’t,” Kylo assures, nodding toward Pryde. “He will.”
“No, Ben, please! Please!”
Did he just… No. Kylo’s done watching.

Not only had he gone through multiple packed trains with a suitcase and a bag that hurt his shoulders and tugged him down - sweaty people bumping into him and squeezing him between bodies and walls he almost choked on disgust and curses - but his room was already occupied. Clothes were thrown all over the space, dirty bowls and cups everywhere and a half-unpacked bag on the ground. The ginger wrinkled his nose in disgust, checking his phone for some sort of an error – maybe he didn't read the numbers right? He almost wished he was wrong but knew it was rare for him to make a mistake – he wouldn't mishap a few digits, he wasn't an idiot.
