Summary
Insanity spreads across the land of Gensokyo, as incidents begin piling up. Strange persons are seen coming and going all the time, but these more recent ones have the inhabitants on high alert. For starters, they all claim to have come from beyond this universe. For another, they don't seem to be affiliated with—let alone know of—Yukari Yakumo, instead saying that someone else dragged them into this mess.
Which puts Reimu into a pickle. She has to find out the architect of the connected incidents before Gensokyo is irrevocably changed for the worst. But how will she stop the machinations, when the persons involved in the connected incidents refuse to spill the beans regarding who started the whole thing?

Without an immediate way back to the correct afterlife from the Hakurei Shrine, how well will he adapt to a place with its own game, set of monster spirits, and surprisingly high prowess?
With his Duel interrupted, Kaiba has to search for the missing Pharaoh. With little help besides Mahad, Mana, and an old design contest entry, he must traverse multiple worlds to reunite with Atem and complete their ultimate Duel. But why would someone abduct the Pharaoh?

One of my favorite things about the Touhou Project is the sheer creative freedom it offers for fans, every aspect of the world and characters has many factors up to interpretation, to the point where every fan has a slightly different idea of how 'Touhou' works. resulting in a personal Gensokyo of sorts.

Nero Shi, one of the various Buddhist monks at Myouren Temple and father of the semi-infamous human-gone-nix Rujo Shi, is living his life in a day just like any other. Ever since an 'impossible' situation was formed between him and the gentle, albeit somewhat foolish at times, Taoist shikaisen of the Hall of Dreams' Great Mausoleum Mononobe no Futo, life has been much, much different for the monk.
On that same day Nero was living in, they both get pulled aside by none other than their own leaders, seemingly to discuss - and presumably reprimand - them about their relationship.
That's when the impossible duo, Nero and Futo, find themselves tasked with a way to prove that they could be with each other, thought up by Nero himself no less. Retrieving a 'sword in the stone' that had only been spoken of in a random rumour that had been going around Gensokyo like a wildfire as of late.
That sounds easy enough, right? ...Right?
