Things started looking up when Kai grabbed the scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and his powers returned--but then he got blasted to a world that's similar to his own, but not quite. A world with high school ninjas that desperately need a big brother to guide them. And hey, maybe they can guide Kai along the way too.

The rope incinerated. Kai's weight dropped. Any strand of conscious thought that he'd had were gone in a flash as he fell. He felt his body ignite without his command - it must've been his core speaking, his heart. [After all, he'd always lived by emotion hadn't he?]
His flames led him to Cole, just below him. Their bodies crashed together, and anyone watching from the Bounty rail would only see one thing.

After the Ninja have survived the events of the Friendship Games, but still have a long way to go. So Master Wu sends the Ninja+Lloyd to train in the Everfree forest. While Morro and Nya are left behind with Master Wu. However, there's something off about where they're training. Cole is worried for Zane. Kai is a mess of fire and anger. Jay is having fun with D&d, while Lloyd is isolating himself. Nya hates her new "mentor" and Morro is starting to regret his decisions. And what is Master Wu HIDING?

This story delves into each character (some more than others), their motivations, and ultimately their identity reveal--a.k.a. my favourite trope.

Summary
Leaving a group of teenagers with newfound magical powers in charge of saving not only their city, but the entire realm may not have been the best decision the weathered ninja master had even made in his long, long life. Especially when you factor in each of their many deep personal problems and the strange, unexpected effects their powers have on them. But maybe the best way to solve both their and Ninjago's problems is for them to learn to work together (Or at least stop actively trying to annoy each other).
We all know the canonical story of the plastic masters of spinjitsu, but I have taken it upon myself to plug up any tiny plot holes by changing the story massively.
