Summary
“Hen, do you think Buck and I spend too much time together?”
“Oh boy,” Hen says, barely holding back a laugh. “That’s—”
“Marisol broke up with me today when I told her Buck moved in with me and Christopher. She said she thinks Buck and I are codependent,” Eddie continues, not noticing Hen’s amusement. “That’s crazy, right? Of course we spend a lot of time together, we’re best friends. Who else am I going to hang out with?”
“I mean, your girlfriend?” Hen suggests. “When was the last time you saw Marisol before today?”
“I saw her four days ago,” Eddie says, unclear what Hen’s trying to get at with her line of questioning. “She watched Chris while Buck and I went to grab dinner and see a movie.”
Hen blinks.
“Let me get this straight,” Hen says, sounding more and more incredulous the longer Eddie speaks. “You had your girlfriend watch your son so you could go on a date with Buck?”

(Thanks to the destruction of hotel property and the help of their closest friends and family (and exasperated now-exes), Buck and Eddie finally figure some things out.)

Summary
Hen takes a swig of her coffee, clearly respecting the time Buck needs to blink long enough that he’s no longer trying to nod off into his glass of orange juice, and is ready to hear out her craziness. Which is what Buck realizes is coming the second she opens her mouth.
“Why all the tattoos?”
Buck looks at his hot-sauce-laden eggs like they have an answer, then back at Hen, whose eyebrows are high on her face as she waits, expectantly, for the answer Buck finds he has to grab. “Uh,” he says, thoughtfully, “what?”
“Doesn’t it make it hard to find your soulmate?”

Summary
“Diaz, I’m begging you, tell me you understand,” Lyle says, entirely not above begging at this point.
Diaz doesn’t say a word, and Lyle groans.
He’s actually kind of desperate, because he absolutely cannot risk having to listen to Buckley and Diaz go on about how much they love each other ever again.
“You already know you’re in love with Buckley. I’m telling you Buckley is in love with you. You’re going to…” Lyle trails off, gesturing for Diaz to finish the sentence.
“I’m going to propose to Buck,” Diaz says without hesitation this time.
And that’s not—
That’s not exactly what Lyle was going for?

(Paralytic Narcolepsy Guy is forced to listen to Buckley and Diaz talk to and about each other in his unconscious presence over the years. He insists he fucking hates them. But then he also accidentally helps them get engaged.)

Summary
Eddie is dating Buck (fuck, he is dating Buck!!) but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop pining for his amazing, jaw-droppingly gorgeous, heart-made-out-of-gold boyfriend—because Eddie Diaz is a simp for one Evan Buckley and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Including himself, apparently.

Summary
"No, no I'm not." His voice is cold and devoid of any emotion, he was tired of being told his emotions weren't valid, he was tired of being treated like a kid, "I am not exhausting and you have no right to call me that. I am fighting for my right to work, something that was unfairly taken from me by him." He points at Bobby, who's jaw is slack and surprise is written on his face.

Summary
“I mean, hell, kid, you’re basically raising a kid together already.”
Buck’s eyes widened visibly at that, because… what the hell? Because now, he was more confused than before, but also… things were clicking. They just weren’t clicking in a way that made it any less confusing.
“Wait, wait. Wait wait wait.” Buck’s hands raised, and he was finally still. “I’m… I’m talking about Tommy Kinard. Who are you talking about?” It was a dumb question, and Buck knew it was, because the mention of coparenting could only relate to one person, and the notion of him trying to get someone’s attention… and the army thing… it…
“Oh.” Bobby’s mouth was tightly shut, looking a little more bashful than Buck had seen him… possibly ever. “I seem to have misunderstood.”

Summary
Walking into Hen, Karen and Eddie sprawled out on the sofa, giggling about something between them. Hen whispered something about Buck as he walked into the house, and they burst out giggling all over again. Buck noticed the three empty bottle of wine left out on the coffee table, the glasses and empty bowls of food they had all eaten through the evening.
“OK, tough guy,” Buck said, pulling Eddie up by his arms, to his feet, “Let’s get you home, and in bed,”
“At least buy me dinner first, Buck,” Eddie slurred, placing his hands on Buck’s shoulders.
“You are wine drunk,” Buck ignored the comments.
“Doesn’t mean it isn’t true,” Eddie mumbled, pouting because in his mind Buck was rejecting him, in his massively drunk mind, Buck might as well have said that he wasn’t interested.

eddie getting wine drunk ends up causing him to lose his filter around buck, who had to pick him up from the wilson household. the next morning, he faces what he had said the night before.
